This page explains what happens to information when you visit ajmm.org.
What is collected
Standard web server logs (the automatic records a web server keeps of each visit) record the request, the time, and the browser’s user agent (the details your browser sends about itself). These are used to keep the site running. The site does not ask you for personal details to read the guides. Readers cannot create accounts here, and comments are switched off. Basic connection information is handled as described under Google Fonts and Cloudflare below. Anything you send by email is covered under Email.
Cookies and advertising
The site sets no tracking cookies. Tracking cookies are small files that are used to follow what you do on a website or across websites. The site also shows no ads.
Analytics
The site does not run analytics scripts, which are tools that measure visits from your browser.
Google Fonts
The pages load Google Fonts, which are the letter styles used to display text. When your browser loads them, Google’s servers receive your IP address. An IP address is the number that identifies your internet connection.
Cloudflare
The site is served through Cloudflare, a company that delivers websites to readers through its network. To deliver pages, Cloudflare processes standard connection data, which is the basic information any website receives when a page is requested.
To contact us, use the email address on the Contact page. If you write in, the message is used to answer you or to correct an article.
Links out
Guides sometimes link to manufacturers and service providers. Those sites have their own policies, and this one has no control over them. If a guide ever shows content from another website, such as a video, that website’s own policy applies, as if you had visited it directly.
